Lip Repositioning |
Lip travel reduction is necessary when a patient has a gummy smile and when the teeth are properly sized. Taking away gum tissue is not the answer for these patients, as it would only make their teeth appear unusually large. For patients in this situation, Dr. Ortiz-Ramsey is able to do a lip travel reduction procedure. This procedure is a cosmetic procedure and reduces the travel of the lip, so that the gum does not show excessively when they are smiling. Another benefit of this procedure is that the lip appears fuller. This condition is sometimes referred as high lip line or hypermobile lip.
